The Iranian capital of Tehran is hosting the 38th International Islamic Unity Conference, which began Thursday morning, September 19, 2024, at the city’s International Summit Hall and will continue until Saturday, September 21.

Hawzah News Agency- Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian was the keynote speaker at the inauguration ceremony.

This conference, held annually in commemoration of Unity Week and the birthday of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), is organized by the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought. This year, Palestine is the central theme of the event.

This year's Islamic Unity Conference is being held under the slogan "Islamic Cooperation for Achieving Common Values with an Emphasis on the Palestinian Issue." Shia and Sunni scholars from Iran and various countries around the world are participating in the conference.

According to organizers, guests from 30 countries, including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and the UAE, as well as the USA, Russia, Indonesia, and others, are attending the conference.

The scheduled programs for the 38th conference's guests include a meeting with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, visits to scientific and technological centers, a visit to the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini in southern Tehran, a tour of Milad Tower in Tehran, and participation in Friday prayers.
