Iranian ambassador to Vatican meets with Ayat. Arafi

The ambassador of Iran to Vatican met with head of Iranian seminaries Ayatollah Alireza Arafi to discuss possible ways for developing mutual cooperation with Vatican.

Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – During the meeting which was held in Qom on Tuesday, August 8, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi pointed out Islamic seminary's great potential in conducting joint research studies with Vatican such as organizing interfaith dialogues. 

 

Head of Iranian seminaries further proposed creating a workshop in Iranian seminary institutes in order to draft a comprehensive roadmap on ways to develop cooperation with Vatican and how to accelerate this process.

 

The Iranian ambassador to Vatican Hujjat al-Islam Rabbani also presented a report on the status of Iran-Vatican ties in different areas, especially during Pope Francis' era, and urged promoting mutual ties by using the capacity of Iran's Islamic seminaries.
