"We, as Iranian clerics and seminaries, consider all the nations as our friends, except those that are seeking war with us; therefore, we need to address other nations' issues and religious inquiries."

Hawzah News Agency (Hamedan, Iran) – Speaking at an opening ceremony for the new academic year of Iranian seminaries in Hamedani city on Saturday, head of Iran's seminary Ayatollah Alireza Arafi pointed out that students are the future of Iran and will continue on the path of Islamic Revolution; "Students are the main pillars of Islamic seminaries."

Head of Iranian seminaries further reiterated that victory of 1979 Islamic Revolution caused a confrontation between the Islamic world and the materialistic doctrine of Western civilization, saying, "Today, we're faced with the western civilization which is based on non-divine thoughts."

Elsewhere in his remarks the member of Supreme Council at Iranian seminaries asserted that clerics must address international issues, saying that "We, as Iranian clerics and seminaries, consider all the nations as our friends, except those that are seeking war with us; therefore, we need to address other nations' issues and religious inquiries." Hawzah quoted him as saying.

Advising the seminary students in Hamedani province, Ayatollah Arafi added, "We must choose a correct path to interact with other Islamic sects. We have to condemn British Shiism and false doctrines in order to preserve and promote genuine Islamic thoughts."

Stressing that Islamic seminary must offer new ideas at international arena, the Shia scholar concluded, "Research should be the main focus in Islamic seminaries."
