Ammar Hakim condemns Tehran terrorist attacks

Head of Iraq National Coalition Ammar Hakim condemned Wednesday's terrorist attacks in Tehran and underlined that the extremism should be uprooted in the region.

Hawzah News Agency - In a statement, a copy of which was sent to IRNA, Hakim strongly condemned such criminal acts, which intends to create instability and insecurity in Iran. 

Iran, as a frontier country in fight against terrorism with shiny stances in this concern, is exposed to such criminal invades. 

He underlined that it is necessary to take practical and serious solutions to confront extremism and dry out the mental and financial resources of it. 

Hakim called on countries of the region to hold a regional meeting for access to a strategy for regional security and a true fight against terrorism and rescue the world from this disease. 

He expressed solidarity with the Iranian people and extended condolences to the victims of the incident. 

Hakim also wished blessing for martyrs of the incident and patience for their families and prompt cure for injured. 

In an apparently coordinated attempt, two terrorist groups attacked mausoleum of the late Imam Khomeini, southern Tehran, and the Iranian Parliament (Majlis) on Wednesday morning, killing 12 people and

injuring 42 more. 

One of the terrorist was gunned down by the security forces and another attacker blew oneself up outside the Imam Khomeini shrine. 

The terrorist group of Daesh (the ISIS terrorist group) has claimed responsibility for the fatal attacks in Tehran. 

Terrorists entered the Parliament building while they had dressed as women, said a security official. 

Parliament operation ended by security forces who killed three of the terrorists, one of them had detonated himself before. 

Meanwhile, according to an official at the Intelligence Ministry, several terrorist cells have entered Tehran to carry out terrorist operations but members of one of the cells have been arrested.
