Hawzah News Agency (Mashhad, Iran) – Speaking at the 9th General Assembly of Islamic Radio and TV Union in Mashhad on Sunday, July 2, Sayyed Ammar al-Hakim, an Iraqi politician and cleric, asserted, "The people of Iraq realized their true potential during their fight against ISIS takfiri terrorists; In such hard times, one can know who is their friend or enemy. The Iraqi nation also realized who their friends are during the fight against ISIS; The Islamic Republic of Iran was always supporting us throughout this process."

Elaborating on the characteristics of Islamic media, Ammar al-Hakim remarked that Islamic media is committed to promoting Islamic values and moralities; such media always seeks ways to strengthen the unity of Muslim community. "When we speak of unity within Muslim Ummah, we're not referring to some sort of dream or fantasy; rather we are discussing a practical way to reach such unity for all Muslims."

"Our main purpose as Muslims is to create a practical unity among different Islamic sects." al-Hakim added.

Referring to the issue of Palestine as a top priority for Islamic media, Ammar al-Hakim concluded," The Muslim community never seeks division and a top priority for the Islamic media is to combat takfiri groups such as ISIS."
