Top Shia Scholar receives Clerics in Najaf, Iraq

A group of seminary students from Imam al-Mahdi University met with Grand Ayatollah Bashir al-Najafi, a Shia source of emulation in Iraq.

Hawzah News Agency (Najaf, Iraq) - During the meeting, Grand Ayatollah addressed the clerics saying, "Seminary students must work hard in their studies and research affairs, they must learn the teachings of prophet Muhammad and his Ahlul Bayt (as) in order to promote them worldwide."

 

The senior cleric added, "So many Islamic scholars and religious figures have educated in the holy city of Najaf in Iraq; this proves that Najaf is the center of science, piety, dignity and also the capital of the first Shia Imam." Hawzah reported.

 

The Shia source of emulation further advised clerics to live up to their religious duties as seminary students.

 

He also prayed for their success in their studies and promotional activities to preach Islamic teachings."
