Hawzah News Agency- The Al-Wafa Union for Workers and Employees in Lebanon has issued a resolute statement affirming that the recent phase of confrontation with the Zionist enemy was nothing short of "destiny-shaping," where the equation of power proved its decisive role.
The union praised the heroic defense mounted by resistance fighters, who stood firm in defense of Lebanese land, sovereignty, and dignity. "Through their sacrifices, they set an advanced model of steadfastness and confrontation," the statement read.
Iran: The strategic backbone
In a section clearly aimed at an international audience, Al-Wafa Union explicitly acknowledged the Islamic Republic of Iran as a fundamental pillar of Lebanon's survival during the recent aggression.
"The union extends its deep appreciation and gratitude to the Islamic Republic of Iran for its essential and pivotal role in supporting Lebanon and its resistance," the statement said. "This support—including political and strategic backing—has helped strengthen resilience, consolidate deterrence equations, and extend to effective participation in halting hostilities."
People as the foundation
The union also paid tribute to the steadfastness of villagers and townspeople, describing them as "the true supporters of the resistance." Despite immense challenges, their stability and eventual return to their homes demonstrated that the will of nations remains the determining factor in confronting aggression, the statement added.
Special salute to frontline workers
A distinct section of the message was dedicated to workers and employees across various sectors—particularly healthcare workers, relief personnel, and public service providers.
"These individuals played an essential role in facing the consequences of the aggression and stood in the heart of the steadfastness field alongside their people," the union said.
Martyrs and the path forward
The Al-Wafa Union concluded its statement by expressing pride in the martyrs who fell defending their homeland and wishing a speedy recovery for the wounded.
"The unified resistance stance and the integration of power elements—resistance valor, people's steadfastness, and allied support—will remain the main pillars protecting Lebanon," the union affirmed.
It called for strengthening national resilience at all levels and safeguarding the rights of workers and employees, stating that such protections are consistent with the sacrifices made and preserve the dignity of the nation and its people.
