Hawzah News Agency- In a message issued on Monday, Aref expressed deep sorrow over the loss of the "eminent jurist, godly scholar and high-ranking authority of the Shia world," saying the grand ayatollah spent a blessed lifetime promoting the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), training outstanding students and safeguarding the boundaries of piety and Islamic jurisprudence.
The vice president said the late cleric's services left a lasting scholarly and spiritual legacy for the Islamic world and the seminary city of Qom.
Aref extended his condolences to the anticipated Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance), Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, other grand sources of emulation, the revered seminaries, the late cleric's students and family, and all his admirers and the noble people of Iran.
He asked God Almighty to grant the departed authority elevated status and closeness to the righteous, and to bestow patience and abundant reward upon his family and survivors.
