In an interview with Hawzah News Agency, Alavi described Nahj al-Balagha as “a living school” capable of shaping ethical values, guiding societies, and reviving religious consciousness in the modern era.
He highlighted the book’s unique distinction as a reflection of Qur’anic principles embodied in the life of the Commander of the Faithful (PBUH). “Nahj al-Balagha is the clearest manifestation of the Qur’an in action,” he said, asserting that Imam Ali’s words and conduct serve as a direct interpretation of divine revelation.
Islamic Thought Center Expands Educational Outreach
Alavi noted that the Islamic Thought Center has organized conferences, academic symposiums, cultural programs, and educational competitions focused on Nahj al-Balagha. He said the center has published around forty scholarly works to date.
Future plans include launching a specialized academic journal on Nahj al-Balagha and further integrating the text into seminary curricula. Consultations with seminary officials and scholars are already in progress.
Addressing Youth Challenges Through Alawi Teachings
Alavi stressed that today’s youth face intense cultural and identity pressures. In this context, Nahj al-Balagha provides a practical roadmap rooted in justice, spirituality, knowledge, and intellectual clarity.
“For a generation searching for meaning and stability, Imam Ali’s model offers a comprehensive blueprint for upright and dignified living,” he said.
Strong Public Reception Across Pakistan
Describing his recent visit to Pakistan, Alavi said programs centered on Nahj al-Balagha attracted enthusiastic audiences in both major cities and remote regions.
“Wherever the message of the Commander of the Faithful reached the people, we witnessed sincere interest, love, and faith,” he noted, adding that the public response highlights the potential for broader inclusion of the text in educational systems.
