Hawzah News Agency- Shaykh al-Saduq narrated from his father, from Sa’ed ibn Abdullah, from Ali ibn Ibrahim ibn Hashim, from Al-Hussein ibn Yazid al-Nawfaly, from Isma’il ibn Abi Zyad , from Imam Sadiq (pbuh), from his forefathers (pbut) that the Holy Prophet (pbuh) said:
مَنْ بَدَأَ بِالْكَلَامِ قَبْلَ السَّلَامِ فَلَا تُجِيبُوهُ.
وَقَالَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ: لَا تَدْعُ إِلَى طَعَامِكَ أَحَدًا حَتَّى يُسَلِّمَ.Whoever begins speaking before offering the greeting of peace (salam), do not respond to him.
And he also said: Do not invite anyone to your meal until he has offered salam.
