Hawzah News Agency- Speaking at the international conference “Reconstructing the Common Cultural Heritage of Iran and Turkey in the Light of Transcendent Wisdom,” Dr. Cihan explained that from Mulla Sadra’s perspective, science is not a mere abstract concept but a fundamental reality within the system of existence.
Presenting his paper titled “The Essence of Science in the Four Journeys,” he noted that Mulla Sadra viewed science as the key to understanding the unity between the intellect and the intelligible, combining the insights of Avicenna and Sheikh Ishraq into a comprehensive vision of knowledge.
Dr. Cihan said that, according to Mulla Sadra, science is independent of material form and is a simple and complete truth that manifests through existence. “Everything is revealed through science, and nothing outside of it can bring existence to light,” he stated.
He added that Mulla Sadra regarded science as the foundation of understanding and the link between creation and the Almighty Creator, emphasizing that knowledge and perfection are inseparable from the divine reality.
