Hawzah News Agency- Congratulating Muslims on the blessed birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the senior cleric expressed hope that the conference would take effective steps toward strengthening rapprochement and solidarity among Muslims.
Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi underlined that the solution to the challenges of the Islamic world lies in unity around common principles, noting that while there are differences among Islamic sects, shared goals can serve as a strong barrier against divisive conspiracies.
Referring to the ongoing aggression in Gaza, he described the situation as a test of humanity’s conscience, stressing that hunger, siege, and the killing of children and women by the Zionist regime require a united and decisive response from the Islamic world.
He urged participants of the conference not to limit themselves to discussions but to provide practical and sustainable measures for unity, including cultural and scientific cooperation, establishing a joint media front against hostile propaganda, supporting Palestine, and resisting separatist schemes of arrogance.
The senior cleric concluded by expressing hope that the conference would contribute to greater Islamic unity and the elevation of Islam and Muslims.
