Imam Reza University to Host First Int’l Conference on “Artificial Intelligence and the Holy Shrine”

Mashhad – Imam Reza International University (AS), in cooperation with Al-Kanooz University of Basra, will host the First International Conference on “Artificial Intelligence and the Holy Shrine” on August 25–26, bringing together experts, researchers, and enthusiasts from Iran and Iraq.

Hawzah News Agency- Dr. Ebrahim Daneshifar, President of Imam Reza International University, emphasized the importance of the gathering, describing it as “a valuable opportunity for exchanging views and synergy among experts and providers of new AI solutions to improve services and facilitate pilgrimage to holy places.”

He added: “With the rapid growth of artificial intelligence technologies, applying these tools in traditional and cultural sectors has become especially important. Holy shrines, as destinations for millions of pilgrims worldwide, require innovative solutions for better management, stronger security, improved services, and the promotion of knowledge. This conference aims to go beyond academic exchange, envisioning AI as a tool to optimize resource management, enhance service delivery, and enrich the spiritual experience of pilgrims.”
