Speaking in an interview with Hawzah News Agency, Rafiei called Netanyahu’s statements “nonsense” and “a failed attempt to deceive the Iranian people,” stressing that the Israeli regime has committed repeated crimes against both Iranians and Palestinians.
“This coward is incapable of understanding even simple facts,” Rafiei said. “He speaks of providing water to the Iranian people while his own regime has deprived the people of Gaza of water and committed genocide instead.”
Rafiei compared Netanyahu’s comments to similar remarks made by former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, describing them as “absurd” and “part of a new Zionist scenario to create sedition.” He accused Israel of attempting to divide the Iranian people, but emphasized that Iranians remain “alert, united, and resistant to any conspiracy.”
Highlighting Iran’s deep historical roots, Rafiei contrasted the Iranian nation’s “thousands of years of civilization” with the “usurping, infanticidal regime” of Israel, which he said “has existed for only seventy years through the occupation of Palestinian lands.”
The cleric also referred to growing domestic opposition to Netanyahu, citing mass protests within Israel as evidence of internal crisis. “Even the Zionists and Jews themselves have rejected Netanyahu,” he said. “His hands, like those of Trump, are now exposed to the world.”
Rafiei listed what he described as Israel’s crimes during the recent Twelve-Day War, including the killing of Iranian people, assassinations of scientists and commanders, and attacks on civilians, hospitals, and journalists.
“You have no right to talk about freedom,” he said, addressing Netanyahu directly. “You suppress your own people and are condemned by freedom-seekers around the world. You have deceived the Iranian people before, but our nation is intelligent and knows its enemy well.”
Concluding his remarks, Rafiei warned that Israel’s future defeat is certain:
“God willing, this time you will receive a stronger slap from the Iranian nation. With God’s permission, we will erase you from the face of the earth. This is a divine promise, and its fulfillment is certain.”
