World’s Largest Feast in Honor of Hazrat Ruqayyah (AS) Held in Qom

Qom, Iran – The world’s largest feast commemorating Hazrat Ruqayyah (AS) was held on the eve of her martyrdom at Astaneh Square in the holy Shrine of Hazrat Fatima Masoumeh (AS), in Qom. The grand event took place simultaneously in over 700 locations across Iran and abroad.

Hawzah News Agency- Coinciding with the night of the martyrdom of Hazrat Ruqayyah (PBUH), thousands of pilgrims gathered to pay tribute to the three-year-old daughter of Imam Hussein (PBUH), whose tragic story of suffering continues to inspire love and devotion among the followers of Ahlul Bayt (PBUT).

The ceremony commenced with the soulful sound of dirges and damam drums, drawing mourners from all directions to the spiritual gathering. The atmosphere was marked by reverence, reflection, and emotional unity.

Among the most moving sights of the evening were young girls, aged 3 to 7, dressed in green veils, symbolizing Hazrat Ruqayyah (AS). These children were honored as special guests, representing the innocence and sacrifice of the beloved daughter of Imam Hussein (PBUH). The feast extended from Astaneh Square to the courtyard of the Imam Hassan Askari (PBUH) Mosque.

Attendees, many of whom had come with personal prayers and heartfelt wishes, turned to Hazrat Ruqayyah (AS) as a source of intercession. One mother tearfully shared: “Being under the banner of the Ahlul Bayt (PBUT) makes us feel like one family, no matter our differences. Tonight, I pray for my daughter and all the girls of Iran, asking Hazrat Ruqayyah (AS) to grant them a righteous path and good ending.”

The gathering also remembered the innocent girls throughout history and in present times who have suffered under tyranny. Special prayers were offered for the oppressed children of Gaza, particularly those recently martyred by the crimes of the "Yazid of our time."

This heartfelt ceremony served not only as a memorial for Hazrat Ruqayyah (AS) but also as a symbol of solidarity with all innocent children who endure injustice and pain in today's world.
