Historic mourning gathering for Martyr Ayatollah Khamenei held in Pakistan

Following the martyrdom of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, waves of mourning, protests, and expressions of solidarity have spread across various cities of Pakistan. Condolence gatherings, rallies, and solidarity events were organized in Karachi, Parachinar, Gilgit, Baltistan, Quetta, Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, and several other regions.

Hawzah News Agency- The incident has also led to an unprecedented level of unity among various Shia parties, organizations, and religious circles. After many years, multiple groups jointly organized memorial and condolence programs. Religious, political, and social figures paid tribute to the late leader’s support for the Palestinian cause, steadfastness, and global contributions.

In this context, a program held at Jamia Al-Muntazar Pakistan was attended by representatives of different Shia organizations, who emphasized the importance of maintaining unity and cooperation. A large public gathering was also announced at Lahore’s historic Minar-e-Pakistan.

Addressing a press conference, Allama Syed Jawad Naqvi, head of Hawza Ilmiyya Urwatul Wuthqa, stated that the gathering would serve as a powerful symbol of Muslim unity and national solidarity. He described the path of the late leader as one of unity, resistance, and support for the oppressed.

Allama Jawad Naqvi thanked the Punjab government and relevant authorities, stating that the event would be conducted in accordance with all official regulations. Allama Muhammad Amin Shaheedi invited both Shia and Sunni groups to participate, while Allama Ahmad Iqbal Rizvi said preparations had been completed and a large turnout was expected.
