Hawzah News Agency - According to the narrations, the prophets, the infallible Imams (PBUT), and the pure believers are among those who will return to this world at the time of Raj'ah.
These narrations may be divided into four groups:
a) Narrations that generally speak of the return of the prophets and Imams (PBUT):
Imam Sadiq (PBUH) in his interpretation of the verse "إِنَّا لَنَنصُرُ رُسُلَنَا وَالَّذِینَ آمَنُوا فِی الْحَیاةِ الدُّنْیا وَیوْمَ یقُومُ الْأَشْهَادُ؛; We will certainly help our prophets and those who are faithful, in this worldly life and on the Day when the witnesses rise (in the Hereafter). (Ghafir/51)" says:
«ذلک والله فی الرجعة، أما علمت أن أنبیاء کثیرة لم ینصروا فی الدنیا وقتلوا والائمة بعدهم قتلوا ولم ینصروا، ذلک فی الرجعة.»
[I swear] by Allah, this verse will be fulfilled at the time of Raj'ah. Haven't you known that the Prophets (pbuh) were not helped in the world and were killed, and the Imams (PBUT) were also killed and not helped, but [this help and victory] will be realized in the Raj'ah. (Mu'jam Hadith al-Imam al-Mahdi (pbuh), Vol. 5, p. 384)
b) Hadiths that remind us of the Raj’ah of the Prophets by mentioning numbers:
Imam Sadiq (PBUH) says:
«ویقبل الحسین فی أصحابه الذین قتلوا معه ومعه، سبعون نبیا، کما بعثوا مع موسی بن عمران.»
When Imam Hussain (PBUH) returns with his martyred companions, seventy prophets will also return with him, just as seventy prophets accompanied Prophet Moses (PBUH). (Mu'jam Hadith al-Imam al-Mahdi (PBUH), Vol. 4, p. 89)
c) Narrations that specifically mention the Raj'ah of some prophets and Imams (PBUH) by mentioning their names:
Imam Baqir (PBUH) said:
«وَ إِنَّ دَانِ یَالَ وَ یُوشَعَ یَخْرُجَانِ إِلَی أَمِیرِ اَلْمُؤْمِنِینَ یَقُولاَنِ صَدَقَ اَللَّهُ وَ رَسُولُهُ وَ یَبْعَثُ اَللَّهُ مَعَهُمَا إِلَی اَلْبَصْرَةِ سَبْعِینَ رَجُلاً.»
Indeed, both Daniel and Joshua (PBUT) will return to the world at the time of the Raj'ah of Amir al-Mumenin [Ali ibn Abi Taleb] (peace be upon him) and will affirm Allah (swt) and the Holy Prophet (PBUH), and seventy men will be resurrected with them toward Basrah. (Bihar al-Anwar, vol. 53, p. 62)
Imam Sajjad (pbuh) also said:
«یرجع إلیکم نبیکم صلی الله علیه وآله وأمیرالمؤمنین علیهالسلام والائمة علیهمالسلام.»
Your Prophet (pbuh), the Amir al-Mumenin (pbuh), and the infallible Imams (pbut) will return to you.(Mu'jam al-Ahadith al-Imam al-Mahdi (pbuh), vol. 5, p. 327)
And also Imam Sadiq (pbuh) said:
«أَوَّلُ مَنْ یَرْجِعُ إِلَی اَلدُّنْیَا اَلْ حُسَیْنُ بْنُ عَلِیٍّ عَلَیْهِ السَّلاَمُ.»
The first person to return to the world is Husayn ibn Ali (pbuh). (Bihar al-Anwar, vol. 53, p. 46)
d) Hadiths that inform about the return of righteous people from past nations and the Islamic Ummah:
Imam Sadiq (pbuh) said:
«یَخْرُجُ اَلْقَائِمُ مِنْ ظَهْرِ اَلْکَعْبَةِ مَعَ سَبْعَةٍ وَ عِشْرِینَ رَجُلاً خَمْسَةَ عَشَرَ مِنْ قَوْمِ مُوسَی عَلَیْهِ السَّلاَمُ اَلَّذِینَ کَانُوا یَهْدُونَ بِالْحَقِّ وَ بِهِ یَعْدِلُونَ وَ سَبْعَةٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ اَلْکَهْفِ وَ یُوشَعُ بْنُ نُونٍ وَ سَلْمَانُ وَ أَبُو دُجَانَةَ اَلْأَنْصَارِیُّ وَ اَلْمِقْدَادُ وَ مَالِکٌ اَلْأَشْتَرُ فَیَکُونُونَ بَیْنَ یَدَیْهِ أَنْصَاراً أَوْ حُکَّاماً.»
The Qa'im (pbuh) will rise from behind the Ka'bah with twenty-seven people, fifteen of whom were from the people of Moses (pbuh), those who were guided to the truth and upon that brought justice; and seven of the Ashabul Kahf (people of the cave), and Yusha ibn Nun, Salman, Abu Dujana al-Ansari, Miqdad, and Malik al-Ashtar, and they are his close supporters (companions) or governors. (Rawt al-Wa'aziin, vol. 2, p. 266)
