Hawzah News Agency – The future government of Imam Mahdi (peace be upon him), as described in Islamic teachings and authentic narrations, promises profound and transformative achievements—both spiritual and material. These accomplishments will not only fulfill the deepest aspirations of humanity but also realize the divine potential instilled by God in mankind.
The goals of Imam Mahdi’s rule are genuine and universal, rooted in the core of human conscience and founded on the eternal teachings of the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Infallible imams (peace be upon them). With a clear and divinely endorsed implementation framework, this government will meet the needs of all humanity and guide it toward perfection and peace.
Below are nine of the most significant achievements of Imam Mahdi’s (AS) global governance, as conveyed through Islamic narrations:
1. Universal Justice
One of the most prominent promises of the Mahdavi revolution is the complete establishment of justice across the globe. Numerous narrations emphasize that the world—long filled with oppression—will be transformed into a place of fairness under the leadership of the Qa’im from the Family of Muhammad (PBUT).
Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (AS) said:
«أَمَا وَ اَللَّهِ لَیَدْخُلَنَّ عَلَیْهِمْ عَدْلُهُ جَوْفَ بُیُوتِهِمْ کَمَا یَدْخُلُ اَلْحَرُّ وَ اَلْقُرُّ.»
“By Allah, justice will enter their homes as heat and cold enter their homes.”
(Ghaybat al-Nu'mani, vol. 1, p. 296)
This vivid metaphor illustrates that justice will not remain a theoretical concept or apply only at the level of governments or elites—it will be tangible and deeply felt in the daily lives of every individual.
2. Intellectual, Moral, and Spiritual Upliftment
Another defining feature of the Mahdavi era is the unprecedented elevation of human intellect, morality, and faith. The narrations highlight that the people of that time will experience the perfection of reason and spiritual clarity.
Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (AS) stated:
«إِذَا قَامَ قَائِمُنَا وَضَعَ اَللَّهُ یَدَهُ عَلَی رُءُوسِ اَلْعِبَادِ فَجَمَعَ بِهَا عُقُولَهُمْ وَ کَمَلَتْ بِهِ أَحْلاَمُهُمْ.»
“When our Qa’im rises, Allah will place His hand on the heads of His servants, and their minds will be gathered and their dreams completed.” (Al-Kafi, vol. 1, p. 25)
This refers to a divine empowerment that will awaken and unify human understanding, eliminating confusion and contradiction. With perfected intellect, people will naturally move toward righteousness, guided by their “inner prophet”—the reason (‘aql)—making the path toward divine service and eternal happiness smooth and clear.
3. Unity and Social Harmony
The age of Imam Mahdi (AS) will also witness the eradication of hatred, enmity, and division among people. It will be an era of unity, empathy, and brotherhood, where diverse communities will come together under one banner of truth and justice.
Imam Ali (AS) said:
«وَلَوْ قَدْ قامَ قائمُنا... لَذَهَبْتِ الشَّحْناءُ، مِنْ قُلُوبِ الْعِبادِ...»
“If our Qa’im rises… hatred will be removed from the hearts of God's servants.” (Bihar al-Anwar, vol. 52, p. 316)
Imam al-Sadiq (AS) also described this time:
«... وَ یَجْمَعَ اَللَّهُ اَلْکَلِمَةَ وَ یُؤَلِّفَ بَیْنَ قُلُوبٍ مُخْتَلِفَةٍ...»
“… Allah will unify the speech and hearts of the people…” (Kamal al-Din, vol. 2, p. 645)
In such a world, hostility and division will give way to cooperation, love, and shared purpose. Societies will be built upon mutual trust and solidarity, fulfilling the divine vision for human coexistence.
4. Physical and Mental Well-being
One of the remarkable features of the Mahdavi state is the complete restoration and strengthening of human health—both physical and mental. In a society governed by justice, equality, and spiritual virtue, ailments and weaknesses will disappear, and the physical and spiritual capabilities of individuals will reach extraordinary levels.
Imam Ali ibn al-Husayn (peace be upon him) said:
«إِذَا قَامَ الْقَائِمُ أَذْهَبَ اللَّهُ عَنْ کُلِّ مُؤْمِنٍ الْعَاهَةَ وَ رَدَّ إِلَیْهِ قُوَّتَهُ.»
“When the Qa’im rises, Allah will remove weakness from every believer and restore their strength.” (Ghaybat al-Nu'mani, vol. 1, p. 317)
This healing will be both miraculous and widespread. With the advancement of divine knowledge and the guidance of the Imam, diseases will be cured and the sciences of medicine and healing will flourish to unprecedented heights.
5. Abundant Blessings and Prosperity
Another key achievement of Imam Mahdi’s reign will be the dramatic increase in natural blessings and sustenance. Under his rule, the world will experience unmatched prosperity—fertile lands, thriving ecosystems, and an abundance of resources.
Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) said:
«یَسُوقُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَی بِهِ بَرَکَاتِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْأَرْضِ فَیُنْزِلُ السَّمَاءُ قَطْرَهَا وَ یُخْرِجُ الْأَرْضُ بَذْرَهَا.»
“Allah, the Almighty, will send forth the blessings of the heavens and the earth—rain will fall from the sky and crops will spring from the ground.”
(The Occultation of Sheikh Tusi, vol. 1, p. 188)
The Mahdavi spring will bring life and vitality to every corner of the earth. Nature will respond in full harmony with the just rule, and divine blessings will be poured out without measure.
6. Eradication of Poverty and Social Inequality
The elimination of poverty stands as one of the most powerful transformations in the Mahdavi era. With justice in resource distribution and an economy founded on compassion, not profit, humanity will finally overcome deprivation.
Wealth will no longer be concentrated in the hands of a few, and the principles of empathy, brotherhood, and equality will guide economic life. Imam Mahdi (AS) will unveil the treasures of the earth and distribute resources fairly among the people.
Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (PBUH) said:
«وَ یُعْطِی اَلنَّاسَ عَطَایَا مَرَّتَیْنِ فِی اَلسَّنَةِ وَ یَرْزُقُهُمْ فِی اَلشَّهْرِ رِزْقَیْنِ وَ یُسَوِّی بَیْنَ اَلنَّاسِ حَتَّی لاَ تَرَی مُحْتَاجاً إِلَی اَلزَّکَاةِ.»
“He will give gifts to the people twice a year and provide them with provisions twice a month, until there is no longer a need for Zakat.” (Bihar al-Anwar, vol. 52, p. 390)
This indicates not only economic sufficiency but a new social order where no one is left in need, and even traditional charity will become obsolete due to widespread well-being.
7. Global Triumph of Islam and the Eradication of Disbelief
The Holy Qur’an unequivocally promises the universal victory of Islam over all other systems:
«هُوَالَّذی اَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُ بِالْهُدی وَ دِینِ الْحَقِّ لِیظْهِرَهُ عَلَی الدِّینِ کُلِّهِ.»
“He is the One who sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth so that He may make it prevail over all religions.” (Surah At-Tawbah: 33, Surah Al-Fath: 28, Surah As-Saff: 9)
This divine promise, which remains unfulfilled in full to this day, will reach completion during the rule of Imam Mahdi (AS). While the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) and the righteous Imams laid the foundation for Islam’s global message, the final realization of a world united under the banner of monotheism will occur under the leadership of the Qa’im.
At that time, the proclamation of “Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah” (I bear witness that there is no god but Allah) and “Ashhadu anna Muhammadan Rasulullah” (I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah) will resonate across the globe. The darkness of disbelief and polytheism will be eliminated, not through coercion, but by the evident truth, wisdom, and justice of Islam—compelling hearts and minds to embrace it freely.
As the Qur’an affirms:
«اِنَّ اللّهَ لایخْلِفُ الْمیعادَ.»
“Indeed, Allah does not fail in His promise.” (Surah Al-Imran: 9)
8. Universal Peace and Public Security
Another hallmark of Imam Mahdi’s reign will be unprecedented security and peace. In a world currently plagued by fear, violence, and injustice, such safety will be a divine blessing realized only through a just and virtuous government.
Imam Ali (peace be upon him) described this era beautifully:
«وَ لَوْ قَدْ قَامَ قَائِمُنَا ... لَذَهَبَتِ الشَّحْنَاءُ مِنْ قُلُوبِ الْعِبَادِ وَ اصْطَلَحَتِ السِّبَاعُ وَ الْبَهَائِمُ حَتَّی تَمْشِیَ الْمَرْأَةُ بَیْنَ الْعِرَاقِ إِلَی الشَّامِ لَا تَضَعُ قَدَمَیْهَا إِلَّا عَلَی النَّبَاتِ وَ عَلَی رَأْسِهَا زِینَتُهَا لَا یُهَیِّجُهَا سَبُعٌ وَ لَا تَخَافُهُ.»
“If our Qa’im were to rise... enmity would be removed from the hearts, and even animals would live in harmony. A woman will travel from Iraq to Syria, walking only on greenery, adorned in her jewels, and no harm will come to her—neither from man nor beast.”
(Al-Khisal, vol. 2, p. 626)
This narration reflects an environment so secure that fear will vanish entirely—even in situations that today would be considered highly vulnerable. Such peace is not merely political but spiritual, extending to all creation.
9. Unprecedented Expansion of Knowledge
The Mahdavi era will witness an explosion of knowledge unlike any period before. Human understanding in both religious and worldly sciences will reach heights previously unimaginable.
Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) stated:
«اَلْعِلْمُ سَبْعَةٌ وَ عِشْرُونَ حَرْفاً فَجَمِیعُ مَا جَاءَتْ بِهِ اَلرُّسُلُ حَرْفَانِ فَلَمْ یَعْرِفِ اَلنَّاسُ حَتَّی اَلْیَوْمِ غَیْرَ اَلْحَرْفَیْنِ فَإِذَا قَامَ قَائِمُنَا أَخْرَجَ اَلْخَمْسَةَ وَ اَلْعِشْرِینَ حَرْفاً فَبَثَّهَا فِی اَلنَّاسِ وَ ضَمَّ إِلَیْهَا اَلْحَرْفَیْنِ حَتَّی یَبُثَّهَا سَبْعَةً وَ عِشْرِینَ حَرْفاً.»
“Knowledge consists of twenty-seven parts. The totality of what has been brought by the prophets amounts to only two of those parts. When our Qa’im rises, he will unveil the remaining twenty-five parts and disseminate them among the people, completing all twenty-seven.”
(Bihar al-Anwar, vol. 52, p. 336)
This prophetic insight suggests that what humanity currently knows is only a fraction of what is to come. Under the guidance of Imam Mahdi (AS), the world will gain access to a full spectrum of divine and material sciences—leading to innovation, spiritual clarity, and the fulfillment of human potential.
These achievements—global unity under Islam, public safety, and intellectual awakening—reveal the profound scope of the Mahdavi mission. As the narrations suggest, this era will not simply mark political change but the rebirth of human civilization under divine light and leadership.
