Abu al-Hasan Ali ibn al-Husayn ibn Musa ibn Babawayh al-Qummi (d. 329 AH), known as Ibn Babawayh and "al-Saduq al-Awwal" (the First al-Saduq), was the father of Sheikh al-Saduq, a prominent jurist and religious leader of the people of Qom, and one of the leading Shia scholars during the Minor Occultation.
