Hawzah News Agency- According to the Islamic Radio and Television Union, the mourners in Marneuli participated in emotionally charged ceremonies commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), while publicly affirming their allegiance to the leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
During the procession, Hujjat al-Islam Haji Hajiyev, the Imam of the Imam Ali (AS) Mosque in Marneuli, addressed the crowd, declaring:
“We have no doubt that we are on the right path, on the right side of history. We stand firmly with the Supreme Leader.”
His remarks underscored the unwavering commitment of Georgian Shiites to the doctrine of Velayat-e-Faqih (Guardianship of the Islamic Jurist) and to the leadership of Ayatollah Khamenei.
The public display of the Supreme Leader’s images among mourners in Georgia was described as unprecedented, symbolizing a growing spiritual and ideological bond between the Shiite communities of Georgia and Iran.
