Qom Honors Martyr General Izadi with Massive Funeral Procession

QOM, Iran — In a powerful display of loyalty and mourning, thousands of residents of Qom gathered on Friday to bid farewell to Major General Mohammad Saeed Izadi, also known as Haj Ramadan, a key figure in the Islamic Resistance Front and a steadfast supporter of the oppressed people of Palestine and Gaza.

Hawzah News Agency- On the eighth day of Muharram, the martyr’s funeral procession began at the Quds Mosalla and proceeded through Janbazan Square before concluding at the Holy Shrine of Hazrat Fatima Masoumeh (peace be upon her), where he was laid to rest with full honors. The solemn event took place in the presence of provincial officials, seminary students, clergy, and large crowds of revolutionary citizens.

Despite the scorching summer heat, the streets were filled with mourners — young and old, men, women, and children — many of whom came to reaffirm their unwavering allegiance to the ideals of the Islamic Revolution and to the path of the martyrs.

Cries of Resistance Against Global Arrogance

As the crowd accompanied the martyr to his final resting place, chants of “Death to America,” “Death to Israel,” and “Labbayk Ya Hussein” echoed through the air. Demonstrators voiced their outrage at the atrocities committed by the Zionist regime, affirming their commitment to resisting oppression and defending the values of the Islamic Ummah.

Slogans such as “The blood in our veins is a gift to our leader” and “We are not from Kufa, Ali shall not be left alone” underscored the deep spiritual and ideological connection between the people and the resistance movement.

Final Resting Place: A Shrine of Honor

Following the funeral prayer, led by Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, member of the Assembly of Experts, Major General Izadi's body was carried into the shrine and ceremonially circumambulated around the sacred burial site. He was interred in the tomb of the late Dolabi, located in the courtyard of Imam Hadi (peace be upon him) within the shrine complex — a fitting eternal home for a commander known for his unwavering dedication to justice and the oppressed.

Major General Izadi's martyrdom and funeral have further galvanized public unity in Qom and across the broader Islamic Resistance movement, as mourners pledged to uphold the legacy of their fallen commander and continue the struggle against injustice.
