Hawzah News Agency- Speaking in reference to recent religious decrees following threats against Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Panahian emphasized the global obligation of Muslims in the face of such rulings.
“Some religious authorities have instilled fear in the enemies of Islam over the past few days,” he said. “If a war ruling is issued against someone, then every Muslim, anywhere in the world, is religiously obligated to sacrifice his life and eliminate that person.”
Panahian praised the decisiveness of senior clerics who, he said, have sent a clear and uncompromising message to those threatening the position of the Supreme Leader.
“These authorities have declared that if someone threatens the Guardian of Muslims, we will issue a war decree. This is not symbolic. If that threat is made again, those individuals will no longer have any security.”
In his comments, he directly referenced the U.S. President and the Israeli Prime Minister:
“They issued a war ruling against the evil Trump, warning that if such threats are repeated, there will be no safety left for him,” Panahian stated. “This bold step by the religious authorities was monumental.”
He concluded by underscoring the seriousness of the religious command, asserting that such a decree leaves no room for hesitation or leniency.
“No one will be patient or hesitant in confronting those individuals. A war ruling of this nature carries immense weight,” he said.
Panahian’s remarks come amid a series of strong reactions from religious scholars and political figures following perceived assassination threats made by American and Israeli leaders against Iran’s Supreme Leader. The issuance of such fatwas has intensified calls for a unified Islamic stance in defense of religious authority.
