Hawzah News Agency- Hojatoleslam Seyyed Mohammad Hossein Raji, addressing a religious gathering at the shrine, stated that the Martyred Leader Imam Khamenei embodied peak courage from the pre-revolutionary era onward, cultivating a nation of fearless resisters.
Reflecting on the 37-year tenure of the Martyred Leader, Raji asserted that he raised a nation that remains steadfast on its path even after his martyrdom. "By injecting the spirit of resistance, he neutralized enemy plots, elevated the political consciousness of the nation, dispelled ignorance, and institutionalized deep-rooted insight across society," he said.
Raji identified the injection of courage as another hallmark achievement, crediting the Leader's adherence to the school of Imam Hussein (PBUH). "This nation grew courageous because of his example. Not once in 37 years—neither during his presidency nor in the revolutionary struggle—was an ounce of fear visible in him. His every stance and speech was saturated with bravery," the cleric emphasized.
In a blistering assessment of U.S. intimidation tactics, Raji highlighted the Leader's unshakable defiance. "America topples governments with the mere presence of a single aircraft carrier. Yet, amid the gravest threats, the Martyred Leader declared: 'More dangerous than the carrier is what will send it to the depths of the sea.' This is a courage found nowhere but in the school of Imam Hussein (PBUH)."
He further stated, "Striking American military bases is no simple feat. Since the Second World War, no nation has dared fire a single bullet at the United States. Yet the Martyred Leader stood his ground with full force, and American bases were pummeled by Iranian missiles."
Turning to the historic Nasr Friday Prayer, Raji recalled how the Leader led prayers while Zionist threats of attack loomed. "From before the Revolution to its aftermath, he stood at the pinnacle of courage. This model of leadership forged a nation so bold that when missiles rained down, the people did not flee Tehran—they poured into the streets at night in defiant gatherings."
Asserting that "history has never witnessed such a Leader and such a nation," he added that scholars throughout history have been brave, but today the masses themselves have risen to courage alongside them. "The blood of Prophet Ibrahim (PBUH) flows in the veins of this nation."
Citing a verse from Surah Al-Ma'idah, Raji outlined the traits of the end-times companions of the Prophet (PBUH): strivers in the path of God, humble before the believers, stern against the disbelievers, and utterly unafraid of blame. He declared, "Fear of the enemy is meaningless to this people, for they are the nurtured products of the Islamic Revolution and embodiments of courage."
He posed the stark warning: "Had the Revolution not occurred, who knows what condition we would be in today? But Imam Khomeini and the Martyred Leader raised us to be brave—so much so that the courage of Imam Khomeini defies all description."
The shrine speaker then turned his sights on Western-oriented elements and counter-revolutionaries, diagnosing their entire worldview as built upon fear. "Their entire existence is shaped by terror, perpetually anxious about harm to themselves. God has repeatedly described these people in the Quran. When the Iranian nation is told of F-35 fighter jets, B-2 stealth bombers, and the enemy's military might, they do not tremble—their faith in divine power only multiplies. But the hypocrites and West-struck are terrified themselves and seek to terrify the believers, constantly working to inject fear into the hearts of the people and officials."
Raji warned that Westernizers actively seek to corrupt the calculation apparatus of decision-makers, since the enemy intensifies its attacks once the resistance of the people and officials is broken. "The West-struck, by nature, pursues capitulation to the enemy and knows nothing of the Ashura discourse. Their sickness is fear and West-toxification, and they are beyond cure—because they have never breathed the air of courage."
He concluded with a defiant message: "Even today, the West-struck prescribe surrender for us. But they fail to understand that this awakened, galvanized nation will settle the matter once and for all."
