Hawzah News Agency- Speaking at a gathering titled "Spiritual Preparedness in the Arbaeen Walk," Borqei described Arbaeen as one of the greatest divine blessings granted to Shias.
She pointed to the Quranic command ordering the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to recount the blessings of his Lord, asserting that this divine instruction reminds all believers of their duty to appreciate God's gifts. "The Arbaeen Walk is a declaration of readiness to aid the Imam of the Age (may Allah hasten his reappearance). It is the great drill of the Advent. Despite the scorching heat, physical exhaustion, and the hardships of the journey, the pilgrims declare their unwavering loyalty to the ideals of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) and the guardianship," Borqei stated.
"The enemy is standing against the front of truth with all its might, but the believing nation, in love with the Ahlulbayt, pushes forward with fortitude. This magnificent presence transmits a message of steadfastness and hope to the entire world."
Infinite Reward for Serving the Pilgrims of Imam Hussein
Citing narrations from the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) on the virtue of visiting Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), Borqei stated: "The narrations tell us that for every step a pilgrim takes, God Almighty grants one thousand good deeds, forgives one thousand sins, and elevates their rank by one thousand degrees. This reward reveals the immense station of the pilgrims of Imam Hussein."
She underscored that serving the pilgrims is among the most valuable of deeds. "Even the smallest act of service—offering a glass of water, removing an obstacle from the path, or providing comfort to a pilgrim—carries a tremendous reward before God. No good deed on this path is ever considered small."
The president of Jamiat al-Zahra (SA) urged believers to give thanks for the blessings of guardianship, love for the Ahlulbayt, and the opportunity to take part in Arbaeen, warning against losing these spiritual assets through ingratitude or negligence.
Referencing the prayer of Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) for the pilgrims of the Master of Martyrs, she said: "The infallible Imams asked God to make the reward for all the pilgrims' hardships and sufferings nothing less than divine pleasure. This is the highest station a human being can attain—a station where God is pleased with His servant."
Arbaeen This Year: Deeper Grief, Stronger Resolve
Borqei noted that this year's Arbaeen is unlike any before it. "The bitter events and the martyrdom of commanders and leaders of the Resistance Front have caused pilgrims to feel the tragedies of Ashura and the sufferings of Lady Zainab (peace be upon her) far more deeply. Just as Lady Zainab lost her Imam and divine leader on Ashura, today the Islamic Ummah mourns the martyrs of the path of truth. This grief has deepened the emotional and spiritual bond between the pilgrims and the Ashura uprising."
Gratitude to the Iraqi Nation; Guardians of Unity
Extending her appreciation to the people of Iraq for their hospitality, Borqei stated: "The Iraqi nation hosts the pilgrims of Aba Abdillah al-Hussein (peace be upon him) with pure sincerity and love. This affection is the precious capital of Islamic unity. Iranian pilgrims must repay this hospitality with exemplary ethics, conduct, speech, and mutual respect, and must work harder than ever to strengthen the bond between the two nations."
She emphasized that Arbaeen pilgrims are not mere travelers on a religious trip—they are ambassadors of Ashura culture and preachers of the school of the Ahlulbayt. "Today, the responsibility resting on the shoulders of the pilgrims is heavier than ever. Through their behavior, their speech, and their insight, they must elucidate the truth of resistance, steadfastness, and the ideals of the Islamic Revolution for others."
"Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) does not want mere tears. He expects tears accompanied by deep knowledge, insight, and a sense of responsibility. Participating in Arbaeen must lead to heightened awareness, greater unity, and a state of readiness to aid the front of truth."
The president of Jamiat al-Zahra (SA) concluded by calling on pilgrims to make the most of this spiritual opportunity, urging them to use prayer, sincerity, service to fellow pilgrims, and the renewal of allegiance to Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance) to maximize their spiritual growth and sharpen their religious insight.
