Hawzah News Agency- Speaking in an interview, Hojatoleslam Seyyed Mohammad Taqi Mousavi Keramati emphasized that not every culture possesses the capacity to build a civilization. "Civilization arises solely from a culture that inherently carries the capacity for universal human acceptance and can create the greatest semantic attractions for humanity beyond geographical, linguistic, and ethnic boundaries," he stated.
Islamic Iran Harbinger of a New Civilizational Horizon
The scholar declared that Islamic Iran today carries such an elevated meaning, serving as the herald of a new horizon for human existence. "The civilizational meaning-making of the Islamic Republic has set the stage for the world to enter a new phase in the clash of civilizations," he remarked.
Referencing the theory of the "clash of civilizations," Mousavi Keramati noted that the current international landscape reflects the realization of this reality. He characterized the twelve-day war and the Ramadan war as manifestations of the envy, desperation, and impotence of Western civilization in the face of the expanding power of Iran's Islamic civilization in the contemporary historical life of mankind.
A Blow Aimed at a Civilizational Model
Pointing to the role of the United States in this civilizational confrontation, the researcher argued that Washington, as the representative of the declining Western civilization, sought to eliminate the civilization-building leader of the new historical current. "However, it remained oblivious to the fact that war and the subsequent martyrdom themselves became a platform for revealing the transcendent dimensions of Islamic civilization," he said.
Drawing comparisons between the foundations of various civilizations, Mousavi Keramati explained that while Greek civilization was built upon reason and philosophy, and Western civilization upon sensory perception and empiricism, Islamic Iran is founded upon wisdom and spirituality. "Through this very foundation, it has placed an entirely new horizon of civilizational life before humanity," he stated.
Fusion of Wisdom, Spirituality, and Governance
The researcher identified the fundamental distinction of the emerging Islamic civilization as the materialization of its theoretical foundations in practice. "The distinguishing feature of this civilization is that the carriers of its thought have themselves assumed the position of administering society and have embodied wisdom and spirituality in the arena of politics and governance," he stressed.
Mousavi Keramati underscored that the fusion of wisdom, spirituality, and politics was actualized in the thought and conduct of the martyred Leader of the Revolution. "What outwardly appeared among the most improbable of human endeavors became a reality under his leadership. Therefore, targeting the martyred Leader was, in truth, an attempt to eliminate the objective embodiment of a fully formed civilization," he noted.
In his concluding remarks, the scholar emphasized that the very existence of the martyred Leader of the Revolution represented a clear and undeniable rebuttal to the theoretical foundations of Western secularism, transforming his civilizational standing into one of the most significant theoretical challenges for Western civilization.
