Message of Unity and Support for Palestine in Arafa Ceremony; Hajj Without Attention to Gaza!

The head of the central office of the Tebyan Social and Cultural Activities Center in Kabul, at the Arafa Day conference in this office, emphasizing the social and political mission of Hajj, said: “Any Muslim who, after performing the Hajj, is indifferent to the fate of Palestine and the oppressed people of Gaza, has not truly understood the spirit of Hajj.”

Hawzah News Agency- On the eve of Arafa Day, a conference titled “Arafa; A Pact of Empathy and Solidarity” was held by the Tebyan Social and Cultural Activities Center in western Kabul, with the presence of a large number of cultural figures, scholars, students and different segments of Kabul, including women and men.

Hojjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Sayyid Abdul-Azeem Alavi, head of the central office of the Center for Social and Cultural Activities of Tebyan, spoke about the importance of this great day and its messages for the Islamic world.

Referring to the historical and spiritual position of the Arafat Desert, Alavi said that pilgrims spend the day of Arafat from noon to evening in this holy place; where, according to narrations, Adam and Eve found each other again after many years. He also described this place as a place of unity and return to human nature.

He also recalled that the Prophet of Islam (peace be upon him and his family) gave an important speech in this place during his last Hajj, which has remained as a charter of the Islamic nation to this day.

Referring to the meaningful prayer of Imam Hussein (AS) on the Day of Arafah, he emphasized that Imam Hussein (AS) also recited this valuable prayer in Arafah during his historic journey from Medina to Mecca. This religious scholar described the prayer of Arafah as full of monotheistic and mystical teachings.

Referring to the exemplary unity during the Hajj season, Alavi said that during the Hajj season, all pilgrims gather in uniform clothes, regardless of nationality, color, language, or ethnicity, with the sole purpose of serving God, and that this grand scene is a symbol of unity, empathy, and solidarity in the Islamic nation.

However, expressing regret over the current situation in Palestine and Gaza, he emphasized the awakening of Muslims against the crimes of the Zionist regime, adding that today, while Muslims cry out for monotheism during Hajj, our brothers and sisters in Palestine, especially in Gaza, are under the most severe oppression. He also emphasized that every Muslim has a responsibility to not remain silent in the face of these crimes and to raise their voice of protest against America and the Zionist regime.

This religious scholar clarified that if Muslims are indifferent to the fate of Palestine after the Hajj, they have not understood the spirit of the Hajj.

The head of the Tebyan Center's central office also warned against conscious efforts to create religious and ethnic divisions and emphasized: "Today, some are biasedly sowing discord on the basis of religion and ethnicity. Scholars, universities, and religious institutions must be vigilant and prevent any social and religious divide''.

In conclusion, he considered propaganda against Zionism and the arrogant to be everyone's duty and said that everyone should defend Palestine by any means, even with a slogan or text.
