Hawzah News Agency- The senior Iraqi cleric has emphasized that the independence of the seminaries means that governments should not order or forbid the seminaries so that the thinking and ideas of the scholars are not compromised. This independence is necessary for the scholars to freely guide and draw conclusions.

Referring to the importance of the Islamic Republic system, Ayatollah Bashir Al-Najafi also noted, “If the Islamic Republic is damaged, Najaf seminaries will also be affected.”

He emphasized the importance of paying attention to Amir al-Momenin Ali (PBUH), saying, “We should not die except for the love and affection of Imam Ali (PBUH).”

Ayatollah Al-Najafi further explained about the pilgrimage to Imam Hussein Shrine (PBUH) that it reflects a deep philosophy that does not want to reduce the burden of the calamity of Imam Hussein (PBUH), but rather aims to maintain the freshness of grief and a heartfelt connection with this great calamity.

At the end of these meetings, the religious authorities and scholars of Najaf Ashraf, appreciating the role of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom, emphasized the unity of the seminaries and support for the Islamic system, and asked the Qomi delegation to convey their greetings to the professors and students of the seminaries in Iran.
