Hawzah News Agency- the Head of Iran’s Islamic Seminary Ayatollah Alireza Arafi made some remarks in a meeting with international seminary activists from different countries held on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan at Dar al-Shifa Seminary School in Qom, during which he said,” The holy month of Ramadan is a humanizing, society-building, and civilization-building school.”
Noting that Ramadan, in addition to fasting, prayer, reciting Holy Quran, and acts of worship, has become a social and civilizational institution in the history of Islam, he stated,” Ramadan is not only a chance for worship and spirituality, but also a platform for improving religious and social knowledge.”
“The holy month of Ramadan, with its luminous and spiritual manifestations, is not only an opportunity for spiritual purification and worship, but also a social, intellectual, epistemological, and political institution in the history of Islam.” He added.
Ayatollah Arafi further noted that holding this gathering in the holy month of Ramadan is a sign of the great capacity of this month in consolidating Islamic unity and strengthening religious ties among Muslims around the world, and said, “We can focus on the extensive inter-Islamic ties in this month. The holy month of Ramadan plays a pivotal role in building Islamic civilization.”
“We must know that the seminary is an institution beyond borders, languages, and races. There are no restrictions on the audience for the message of Islam and the seminaries that promote this message.” He concluded.
