The Pakistan National Unity Council held a meeting in Islamabad, Pakistan to counter terrorist attacks in the Parachinar region.

Hawzah News Agency- a meeting was held by the Pakistan National Unity Council in Islamabad, Pakistan to counter terrorist attacks in the Parachinar region.

In this meeting, Secretary General of the Pakistan National Unity Council Liaqat Baloch expressed deep concern in his speech about the ongoing insecurity in Parachinar and said,” The people of Parachinar want peace and emphasize the complete end of war and conflict.”

In this ceremony, all the heads of different religions emphasized that the protection of life, property, honor and security of travel of the people of Parachinar is the main responsibility of the government. The current situation has made the people feel insecure. The government should immediately implement the ceasefire agreement, stop the transfer of weapons and ensure cooperation between the two sides to establish peace.

The importance of jirgas for resolving regional conflicts was also emphasized in this meeting. The federal and state governments should respect the decisions of the jirgas and ensure their full implementation. Effective and non-discriminatory action should be taken against banned organizations and terrorist elements. Due to the ongoing insecurity in Parachinar, the younger generation is deprived of education and employment.

The meeting also asked the federal and state governments to announce a special development package for the region and ensure the protection of the people through a comprehensive security plan.

The government should take steps to resolve the land disputes in the Parachinar region based on the records of the title deeds so that the trust of the people of the region is restored, peace is established and the dream of development of the region is realized.

It was clarified in the meeting that the central delegation of the National Unity Council will soon meet with high-ranking officials and present recommendations and a comprehensive plan.
