Hawzah News Agency- the text of the statement of Qom Seminary Teachers’ Society regarding the 14th Iranian presidential election is as follows:
In the name of God
God's peace and blessings be upon the pure soul of Late Imam Khomeini and the great martyrs of the Islamic Revolution.
The decisive election of the 14th presidential term, which will be held on the 8th of July, has a decisive role in shaping the future of the Islamic revolution, and careless behavior will be harmful, therefore, the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom, will highlight in the important issue of the election, to explain the following points:
1- Participating in elections is not only a right of citizenship; It is an important task and duty and a righteous political act to complete the magnificent epic of the funeral of the martyrs of service. Therefore, it is crucial to pay attention to the criteria in choosing the right candidate, and the services of Martyr Raisi have raised the bar of the presidency in the eyes of the nation.
2- In the election of the best candidate, our martyred president is the criteria; Service to the people, management, resourcefulness and tirelessness, faithful politics, ethics and persistence on Islamic values, uncompromising with enemies, and helping the oppressed should be the criteria.
3- Electoral candidates must show their loyalty to Islam and religious authority and, by moving within the framework of the constitution, clearly declare their position against the enemies of Islam and the revolution, seditionists, and hostile currents.
4- The Society of Seminary Teachers supports any effort to reach a common point for the selection of the best candidate in the Revolutionary Front and asks the candidates of the Revolutionary Front and their supporters to strengthen empathy and synergy and understand the sensitive conditions of the country to make efforts to create harmony in the Revolutionary Front.
5- It is expected that seminaries, scholars and, preachers, respected Friday imams, society elite academics and influential groups will boost their activities with enlightenment based on the jihad of explaining and exhorting to the truth, and different groups of people will participate maximally in the presidential elections.
In the end, we ask the Almighty God to guide the Iranian nation to the right choice and to honor the wise leader of the revolution until the emergence of the savior of humankind, Hazrat Baqiyatallah (PBUH)
