Hawzah News Agency- In a meeting with Sayyid Muhammad Ali Haidara, a Shiite researcher and scholar from Senegal, which was held at his office in Karbala, Ayatollah Seyyed Muhammad Taqi Modarresi referred to the historical role of the noble descendants of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in spreading Shiite teachings in the African continent from the beginning of Islam to the present era, and praised the fruits of these efforts in promoting the pure Islam.

Emphasizing the opportunities available in the present era to spread Islamic teachings, this prominent scholar noted, “Today, humanity’s need for the light of guidance of true Islam is felt more than ever before so that human societies can be freed from the darkness of ignorance and misguidance.”

Ayatollah Modarresi further pointed out the importance of unity among Muslims and addressed all followers of Islam, saying, “Avoiding extremism and adhering to moderate and wise methods in propagating the religion will pave the way for greater empathy and cooperation among the members of the Islamic community.”

He concluded by adding that adhering to this principle will not only lead to a reduction in tensions, but its results will be evident in achieving general peace, social progress, and everyone benefiting from the blessings of the Islamic society.
