Hawzah News Agency- Hujjat al-Islam Gholum Khatib, Friday Prayer Imam of Kuwaiti Shiites, while attending the University of Religions and Denominations, met with Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad Mahdi Taskhiri in Qom.

In this meeting, Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad Mahdi Taskhiri welcomed the Shiite Friday Imam of Kuwait and the accompanying delegation and said,” The University of Religions and Denominations has signed memorandums of understanding with many scientific and cultural centers in line with scientific diplomacy, and we are pleased to expand these cooperations with our Kuwaiti counterparts and brothers.”

The Vice President of Communications and International Affairs of the University of Religions and Denominations further stated,” We hope that Sheikh Gholum's valuable presence in this university will provide the necessary foundations for expanding cooperation with the scientific and academic centers of Kuwait.”

In another part of this meeting, Hujjat al-Islam Gholum Khatib, Friday Prayer Imam of Kuwaiti Shiites, while referring to the social and cultural conditions of this country, said,” The fields for the expansion of the scientific activity of the University of Religions and Denominations should be provided with important centers in Kuwait.”

He expressed hope that in the near future, joint meetings will be held in order to promote scientific and cultural activities.

Referring to the activities of the University of Religions and Denominations regarding the topic of women and family, Shia Friday Prayer Imam of Kuwait said,” The role of women and the importance of the family in the development and progress of society is obvious to everyone, and this university has done a very significant job by establishing the Faculty of Women and Family; because of the attractiveness of the fields of this faculty, we are interested and ready for bilateral cooperation in various issues of women and family, and providing the fields of scientific activity of the faculty in Kuwait will be very useful.”
