Hawzah News Agency – The Office of the Supreme Religious Authority in Najaf; His Eminence Sayed al-Sistani, announces that the investigation of the crescent moon of the month of Shawwal has been done after the sun set of this Sunday 29th of the holy month of Ramadhan 1443 AH corresponding to May 01, 2022. And the crescent moon was not seen with the naked eye in Iraq and its surrounding areas on this night.
And since the fatwa of His Eminence is that the first of the month in each region follows the possibility of seeing the crescent moon with the naked eye and it does not help to be able to see it in other areas. Tomorrow Monday will be the thirtieth of the holy month of Ramadhan and Tuesday will be the first day of Eid al-Fitr.
