Salary range: £27,000 – £31,000
Location: Cambridge/Remote
Contract: Fixed term (12 months in the first instance), full-time (37.5 hours/week)
Cambridge Muslim College was established in 2009 to develop and disseminate Muslim thought leadership through world-class education, training and research based on dialogue between the Islamic tradition and the circumstances of the modern world. It currently offers a full time BA in Islamic Studies validated by the Open University, a Diploma in Contextual Islamic Studies and an online Diploma in Islamic Psychology. It also organises and delivers a wide range of Continuing Education programmes for the general public. Cambridge Muslim College is at an exciting time in its develop as it implements its ambitious 2021-2026 strategy.
The College is seeking to appoint a Digital Communications Officer to support the development, marketing and delivery of the College’s educational programmes, research activities and other activities. This is a new role that involves pro-active management of the College’s digital platforms to maintain a standard of excellence and ensure that the ethos, vision and mission of the College are reflected in public communications.
The Digital Communications Officer is responsible for working with the Communications team to strengthen the College’s institutional identity and growing the College’s social media presence across multiple digital channels. The role is responsible for creating and implementing a content plan and maintain ongoing community management.
The successful candidate will be an experienced communicator with a deep understanding of social media and communication platforms and how to use them to develop connections and enhance engagement with multiple audiences and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will work flexibly and be committed to the aims and ethos of the College.
