Hawzah News Agency - (Tehran - Iran) - Hujjat al-Islam al-Kaabi answered questions from reporters and members of the media about the latest developments in the region and Iraq at a meeting hosted by the Mehr News Agency.
According to the Communication and Media Affairs Centre of al-Nujaba in Iran, a press conference was held by Hujjat al-Islam Akram al-Kaabi, the secretary-general of al-Nujaba, which was hosted by Mehr News Agency in Tehran .
His Eminence began his speech at the press conference by condemning the insult by the President of France (Emmanuel Macron) to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and said, “Surprisingly, some Arab leaders are trying to buy weapons from France instead of defending the Holy Prophet.”
Emphasizing upon the hatred of the Arab world for Emmanuel Macron, he said, “He has sinister motives and his insistence on this insult came after his government failed to restore French colonial power and create a crisis in the Arab world.”
Hujjat al-Islam al-Kaabi discussed the developments in Iraq and said, “Earlier this year, we witnessed the assassination of the commanders of the Islamic Resistance Front and the attacks on the headquarters of the Popular Mobilization Forces, the police and the airport in Karbala by the United States. Washington also uses media mercenaries and rental media organizations to target the culture of the people and seeks to incite sectarian sedition among the Iraqi people.”
The Supreme Commander of the Iraqi Resistance then criticized the United States’ domination of the Iraqi economy and added, “The Secretary of State of the United States (Mike Pompeo) has threatened the President of Iraq (Barham Salih) with blocking the country’s oil revenues and closing the American embassy in Baghdad, which reflects Washington’s policy of continuing to steal Iraqi resources. In fact, the United States is trying to create a major economic crisis and destroy the Iraqi economy.”
He pointed out that there were widespread protests in Iraq over popular demands for political and economic reform and said, “The United States and its mercenaries, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, rode the waves of protest and changed the true demands of the protesters with deviant slogans.”
While appreciating the honourable and patriotic positions of some elites, media activists and Iraqi tribal leaders, Hujjat al-Islam al-Kaabi added, “They have revealed that the United States, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are setting up tents and carrying out projects against Iraq there, while the demonstrations must be peaceful and the attack on the security forces and the service institutions should be condemned.”
Explaining the Iraqi Islamic Resistance’s stance on the protests, His Eminence said, “We supported the legitimate and peaceful demands of the people in the Islamic Resistance and we call on the provisional government to activate the service process, seek to resolve the unemployment problem and put the resolution of water and electricity crises on their agenda.”
Emphasizing that one of the main duties of the interim government is to prepare for early elections, he stated, “Given the short life of this government, we are surprised that government officials are engaged in marginal affairs. At the same time, they must work to resolve the crises and implement the decision of the parliament and the will of the Iraqi people for the withdrawal of the American forces.”
Hujjat al-Islam al-Kaabi also expressed his surprise at the gratitude of some Iraqi officials to the United States for participating in the liberation of this country and emphasized, “It was Iran that came to Iraq to help liberate the occupied territories, not the United States! They came to our country intending to dominate Iraq’s oil resources and did not give blood for Iraq.”
The secretary-general of al-Nujaba continued, “On the first day of the Daesh attack, the United States refused to help Iraq and only tried to ride the wave after seeing Iran’s assistance. Iran offered martyred commanders on Iraqi soil and the martyr Haj Qasem Soleymani was personally present in many battles. His dream was to be martyred in Iraq. In the end, this dream came true and he was martyred on Iraqi soil at the behest of the evillest people.”
In this regard, he stated that the Islamic Resistance has accurate documents from the operation to assassinate Haj Qasem and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis to present to the relevant institutions and calls on the Iraqi judiciary to begin a speedy investigation into this case.
Hujjat al-Islam al-Kaabi stated that the resolution of the Iraqi parliament on the complete expulsion of the Americans from the country is binding on all political groups and the Iraqi government and said, “Anyone who obstructs the implementation of this resolution is a traitor to Iraq. This resolution is ‘final’ and we do not accept the debate on the expediency or non-expediency of its implementation.”
His Eminence described the current Baghdad-Washington talks as an American effort to preserve its honour and said, “The United States has tried not to mention the withdrawal of American troops from the talks and to use the phrase ‘rearrangement,’ but the Islamic Resistance will not accept that buying the president of the United States’ reputation is at the cost of selling Iraq’s dignity.”
Referring to American pressure on Iraqi political groups to halt operations by the Islamic Resistance, he said, “The revenge of the blood of the martyrs Qasem Soleymani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis is not limited to one front but this revenge will be taken in all dimensions with the participation of different parts of the Islamic Resistance and will continue until the expulsion of the last American soldier from West Asia.”
Hujjat al-Islam al-Kaabi described the expulsion of American troops as a demand of the Iraqi people and not limited to the Islamic Resistance groups and emphasized, “When some brothers demanded that the Americans be given the opportunity to leave Iraq, we accepted the request on three conditions: ۱) Determining the timetable for their exit. ۲) The end of the airstrikes in the skies of Iraq and the withdrawal of the American troops from the embassy and the Baghdad International Airport. ۳) Washington does not interfere in Iraq’s internal affairs.”
His Eminence explicitly stated that the United States understands nothing but the language of force and noted, “After the deadline, the Islamic Resistance groups will have a legal reason for their actions and will give a strong response to the Americans. Therefore, we call on other Iraqi forces to support us, just as we supported them in the fight against Daesh.”
Recalling the experience of the Iran nuclear talks and Washington’s breach of the treaty, he called the government of the United States “profit-seeking” and added, “The policy of negotiating with the United States has been in vain and giving the occupiers a chance has not worked. We expect Iraqi politicians to stand by us after giving up on the Americans and allow us to do our religious duty.”
Hujjat al-Islam al-Kaabi described the military actions taken against the occupiers until now as “small fireworks” and warned, “If we come to the battlefield with all our might, we will shake the earth under the feet of the Americans and force them to humiliatingly leave Iraq through our great operations.”
In another part of the press conference, the Iraqi cleric spoke on the upcoming presidential election in the United States, saying, “The situation after the election in the United States will not be very different because Donald Trump and Joe Biden are not any different from each other and both of them are the backbone of the evil security system and serve the mafia gangs.”
He warned the Iraqi people against the new sedition of the United States and referred to the al-Farhatiyyah massacre, saying, “The political forces are preparing for the division of the country. Daesh terrorists committed crimes in that Sunni region but insurgents pointed the finger at the Popular Mobilization Forces, accusing the national force of trying to change the sectarian fabric there.”
Hujjat al-Islam al-Kaabi continued, “The withdrawal of the Popular Mobilization Forces from the liberated areas means the resurgence of Daesh and the opening of the return route for suicide vehicles to Baghdad, Najaf and Karbala. The United States is working to achieve this goal.”
The secretary-general of al-Nujaba referred to the unity of Shi’ahs and Sunnis as a “strong slap in the face to the United States” and said, “The religious authority (sources of emulation), the Popular Mobilization Forces, the security forces and the people are united in guaranteeing the unity and territorial integrity of Iraq.”
Criticizing the current Iraqi constitution, he said, “This law dates back to the time of Paul Bremer, the American ruler of Iraq, and we call on political groups to revise the Iraqi constitution after the early elections.”
Hujjat al-Islam al-Kaabi emphasized that the Islamic Resistance Axis will not stop except by fulfilling the divine promise for the liberation of al-Quds (Jerusalem) and adding, “The United States and Israel are in decline and nothing but a headline in history will remain.”
His Eminence allocated another part of his remarks at the press conference to the Zionist regime’s attempt to infiltrate Iraq, saying, “Several Israeli delegations have travelled to Iraq using European passports under the guise of economic and media activists, including well-known media figures.”
He pointed out that these moves are aimed at normalizing Baghdad-Tel Aviv relations and said, “Previously, we had information about the visit of the Zionist delegations to Erbil but recently we came across their visit to Baghdad and their meeting with Iraqi political and social activists.”
Hujjat al-Islam al-Kaabi described the Iraqi people as one of the flag-bearers of the defense of Holy al-Quds and by stressing that compromise with Israel is an unforgivable betrayal, he added, “Despite the opening of the Israeli virtual embassy in Iraq, the genuine Iraqi community is confronting the compromisers. The Islamic Resistance will also stand up to the normalization project. We will observe the Zionist delegations in Iraq and we will teach them a great lesson.”
In the final part of his press conference, he called the severance of ties with the United States for the good of Iraq and reiterated the strategy of the Islamic Resistance on the complete liberation of the country from the shadow of the occupation.
