Hawzah News Agency (Mashhad - Iran) - Astan Quds Razavi will hold special programs on the occasion of Imam Reza’s (AS) day of pilgrimage on Wednesday, July 15th 2020, said Hoj. Hojjat Gonabadinejad, director of AQR Deputy Office for Islamic Publicity.

He added: “The first part of the ceremony will be started at 11 a.m. with a lecture by Ayatollah Seyyed Ahmad Alamolhoda, the Friday prayers leader and Leader's representative in Khorasan Razavi Province continuing with a eulogy recitation by Amir Aref. The whole ceremony will be held with no pilgrims in attendance but the voice and video of the ceremony will be covered live by the courtyards’ giant screens.

The official went on to say: “The second part of the programs will be started at 5:30 p.m. with holy Quran recitations at Razavi Courtyard. Hoj. Mohammad Moravej is the afternoon lecturer of the ceremony and Ziarat Jame’ Kabire will be recited by Hoj. Eslamifar.

Referring to the programs for this occasion, Gonabadinejad said: “There are many narrations on why 23rd of Dhu al-Qa'dah has been introduced as a special day for going to pilgrimage of Imam Reza (AS); some believe the eighth Imam was martyred on 23rd of Dhu al-Qa'dah, however”.

Astan Quds Razavi is the body in charge of Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine in Mashhad.
