"There are currently 5000 male as well as 5000 female students learning Islamic sciences in more than 100 seminary schools across Khuzestan province. These students are attending courses in different seminary levels," said Ayatollah Jazayeri.

Hawzah News Agency (Ahwaz, Khuzestan) - A ceremony to grand turbans to seminary students was held in the city of Ahwaz, Khuzestan on Tuesday in which several religious figures took part.

 

The keynote speaker of the event was the representative of Iranian Supreme Leader in Khuzestan province Ayatollah Mousavi Jazayeri who during his speech quoted a narration from Prophet Muhammad (as) saying, "Turbans resemble the angels' crown, so you must make your best effort to respect the sanctity of this holy costume by promoting Islam and its valuable teachings."

 

 

Pointing out the number of students in the seminary of Khuzestan, Ayatollah Jazayeri remarked, "There are currently 5000 male as well as 5000 female students learning Islamic sciences in more than 100 seminary schools across Khuzestan province. These students are attending courses in different seminary levels."

 

Representative of Khuzestan province in Iran's Assembly of Experts reiterated that presence of great seminary figures in Khuzestan is a unique feature of this seminary and has had great benefits for seminary students.

 

 

"We're really proud that some distinguished seminary scholars have studied in the seminary of Khuzestan and I hope there will be more progress and developments in both women and men seminaries in this province for years to come."

 

Asserting that seminary students are faithful to Allah almighty, the Shia scholar said, "Those who study Islamic science in seminary schools have high moral virtues and spirituality. They are able to promote the status of Islamic community in Khuzestan as well as the whole country."
