Hawzah News Agency (Ahwaz, Iran) – Addressing a group of high-ranking military commanders in the Iranian province of Khuzestan on Tuesday, senior Shia cleric Ayatollah Sayyed Muhammad Ali Mousavi Jazayeri asserted that mourning days of Muharram month provide an opportunity for us to review the events which happened during the 8 years of Iran-Iraq war.

 "The events that took place following the holy war such as the issue of terrorism, pose a major threat to the whole world today. The center of these threats is located In the Middle East, especially near the Muslim countries including Iran, Iraq, Syria Lebanon, Palestine as well as Afghanistan." the cleric added.

The senior cleric further reiterated that Syrian crisis began as a result of this country's resistance against Israel. "The enemies of Islam initiated their plots in Syria since it was the main basis of Islamic resistance against the Zionist regime. The terrorists' doctrine of takfirism also has its roots in Wahhabi thoughts and doctrine."

Representative of Iranian supreme leader in Khuzestan province went on to say that the end of ISIS is near; "Fortunately, the axis of Islamic Resistance have completed their duties in Iraq and Syria, so the takfiri terrorists will soon disappear from these countries altogether."
