Russian-Israeli Analyst: Military Defeat of Iran 'Virtually Impossible'

A Russian-Israeli analyst has underscored the strategic capabilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran, asserting that the United States lacks the capacity to wage and win a full-scale war against the country, and warning that any such conflict would engulf the entire region in an all-encompassing crisis.

Hawzah News Agency- "This is Iran, not Spain. Militarily, defeating Iran is impossible. The Pentagon knows full well that war with Iran and achieving victory in it is virtually impossible," he stated.

The analyst pointed to the demographic composition of regional states, noting that Shia populations constitute a significant presence across key areas of Iraq, the oil-rich regions of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Bahrain. Any large-scale confrontation with Iran, he warned, could ignite a region-wide inferno.

"American generals have no intention of committing suicide. They know perfectly well they cannot achieve their objectives in such a war and have repeatedly warned of its consequences," he added.

The Russian-Israeli commentator identified regime change as Washington's primary objective, but noted that even President Donald Trump had reached the conclusion that toppling the system in Iran is "virtually impossible."

He criticized assessments emerging from certain American circles, arguing that U.S. experts analyze events through their own mindset and lack an accurate understanding of Middle Eastern realities. "They imagine that economic hardship will eventually lead to the collapse of the system, when in fact they don't even know what they're talking about," he said.

"Today, the Iranian government remains solid and firmly in place. Nothing and no one can threaten it. Even if the Iranian people face greater hardships, this system will endure," he concluded.
