Hawzah News Agency- In an extensive interview with Al-Masirah television, Ali Al-Imad, a member of Ansarullah's Political Bureau, laid bare the stakes of the ongoing campaign to end the blockade that has strangled the Arab world's poorest nation for over eleven years.
"The battle to break the siege on Yemen is not a political tactic or an instrument of military pressure. It is a national responsibility and a sacred duty from which there is no retreat," Al-Imad declared. "The Yemeni leadership moves according to its commitment to the people, and the path to breaking the siege will continue with full force, despite all of Saudi Arabia's obstructionism."
Riyadh's True Colors Exposed
Pointing to Saudi Arabia's recent aggressive measures targeting Sana'a International Airport, Al-Imad stated that the kingdom has once again unmasked the true nature of its role for all to witness. "Riyadh has chosen to persist in besieging the Yemeni people in service of American and Israeli projects, even at the cost of shouldering severe military and security consequences for Saudi Arabia itself," he charged.
The Ansarullah official underscored that the sweeping official and popular solidarity witnessed across Yemen during the "Break the Siege" operation testifies to the nation's total readiness to reclaim its rights and bring this suffocating chapter to an end.
A Nation's Wounds: Eleven Years of Collective Punishment
Al-Imad catalogued the miseries inflicted upon millions of Yemenis by the blockade: "Millions of expatriates are waiting to return to their homeland without enduring the agonies of treacherous travel and exorbitant costs. Thousands of patients have been stripped of their right to medical treatment. Students and ordinary citizens alike are denied their natural right to free movement."
With countless patients having perished due to their inability to travel for life-saving care, Al-Imad posed a searing question: "Who granted Saudi Arabia the right to prohibit Yemeni citizens from traversing the skies of their own country and utilizing civilian airline companies?"
He warned Riyadh that Sana'a's current actions flow directly from the state's responsibility toward its nation. Referencing the victims of deadly road accidents, rampant extortion, abductions, and the staggering death toll of travelers forced onto harrowing alternative routes, Al-Imad declared that ending this suffering constitutes the urgent and unequivocal demand of the Yemeni people.
'Iran Alone Fulfilled Its Islamic and Human Duty'
In a significant portion of the interview, Al-Imad extended profound appreciation to the Islamic Republic of Iran for its initiative in launching flights in support of the Yemeni nation — a move executed while the so-called Arab coalition was throwing its full weight behind the siege.
"Iranian pilots undertook this mission with a full awareness of the potential dangers, and they stood by Yemen," Al-Imad stated. "Iran was the only country that, relying on its religious and humanitarian responsibility, came to the aid of our people while the Arab coalition was imposing the blockade with all its might. This act is the living embodiment of the unity of the Islamic Ummah."
He noted the extensive resonance of this initiative among the Yemeni people and across Arab nations, emphasizing that even many of Ansarullah's opponents rallied behind the move. "This broad support demonstrates the importance of Iran's timely action and has exposed the reality of Saudi Arabia's positions before public opinion," he remarked.
Riyadh's Double Standards: Sovereignty for Us, Bombers for You
Launching a scathing critique of Riyadh's policies, Al-Imad accused the Saudi regime of sacrificing even the security of its own airports and the interests of its people to advance Zionist projects in the region. "By obstructing civilian flights under the pretext of 'sovereignty,' while simultaneously permitting foreign warplanes to use its territory to bomb Yemen, Riyadh has laid bare its illogical and grotesque double standards," he charged.
A People Forged in Resolve
Al-Imad pointed to the exceptional readiness of the Yemeni state and nation to manage this confrontation, revealing that every single passenger aboard the breakthrough flights — from senior officials to patients and journalists — embarked on the journey with full knowledge of the risks and with the spirit of "martyrdom projects" to smash the siege. "There was no retreat, no fear whatsoever. The will of the Yemeni people to achieve dignity and freedom has stunned the enemy," he said.
The Political Bureau member confirmed that the Yemeni government is now moving with full coordination to rehabilitate and activate Sana'a International Airport. He issued a stark warning to Riyadh: the siege will be broken completely, sooner or later, and any renewed obstinacy will be met with a far more severe response. "Recent developments were only a serious warning message to them," he stated.
In his closing remarks, Al-Imad called upon residents across various regions of Saudi Arabia to wake up to the destructive policies of the Al Saud regime, which he accused of driving their country toward infrastructural ruin to preserve the interests of a small ruling clique. "The world now understands perfectly that those who claim 'legitimacy' in Riyadh possess no genuine political standing whatsoever, and their policies only serve to damage the security and stability of the entire region," he concluded.
