Hawzah News Agency- The event, organized by the Cultural House of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Hyderabad, saw broad participation from women, cultural elites, and religious figures representing both Shia and Sunni schools of thought.
A REVOLUTION THAT AWAKENED A NATION
Speakers at the gathering paid tribute to Imam Khomeini's memory while exploring the multiple dimensions of his personality, thought, and decades of struggle against tyranny. They emphasized his irreplaceable role in sparking the Islamic awakening, restoring the dignity of Muslims worldwide, and shaping one of the most transformative events in contemporary Islamic history.
"The Islamic Revolution of Iran, led by Imam Khomeini (RA), was a great movement against despotism and domination," one speaker declared. "It revived concepts such as independence, freedom, Islamic identity, and resistance against oppression on a global scale."
The speakers noted that the Iranian Revolution became an inspiration for free and oppressed nations across the world, delivering a message of hope, self-confidence, and steadfastness to those who had long been silenced.
GHADIR AND WILAYAT: THE CORE OF THE CONFRONTATION
Dr. Saeed Hashemi, Director of the Iranian Cultural House in Hyderabad, delivered a lecture on "Eid Ghadir and Wilayat," explaining the station of spiritual and political authority in Islamic thought. He warned that enemies of Islam have long sought to distance Muslims from the true meaning of Wilayat.
"Distance from the teachings of Wilayat has created the grounds for division and discord within the Islamic Umma," Dr. Hashemi stated. "The enemies have exploited these rifts to weaken Muslim unity."
Turning to the Islamic Republic itself, he declared that one of the primary reasons for the sustained hostility of arrogant powers toward Iran is the system's adherence to the principle of Wilayat—a principle drawn from the Holy Quran and the school of the Ahlul Bayt (AS), which has become the foundation of Iran's strength, independence, and progress.
A CONTINUOUS PATH
Dr. Hashemi emphasized that Imam Khomeini (RA) and the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, have built and sustained this intellectual and practical system based on the teachings of the Quran and the Ahlul Bayt (AS)—a path that has transformed Iran into one of the most influential powers in the region and the world.
A PLEDGE RENEWED
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Dr. Hashemi recited the famous anthem "Inna Ala Al-Ahd" (We Are True to the Pledge), which was met with an enthusiastic response from the attendees. Participants waved the flags of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in an atmosphere thick with emotion and solidarity.
The gathering closed with prayers for the pure soul of Imam Khomeini (RA) and the martyrs of the Islamic world. The attendees also offered supplications for the unity of the Islamic Umma, the strengthening of friendly Iran-Pakistan relations, and the establishment of peace, security, and stability across the Muslim world.
For observers, the Hyderabad event was more than a memorial. It was a reminder that decades after his passing, Imam Khomeini's (RA) message continues to resonate far beyond Iran's borders—reaching the heart of Pakistan's Sindh province, where the flame of resistance and devotion to the Ahlul Bayt (AS) burns as brightly as ever.
