Hawzah News Agency- As the blessed Eid al-Ghadir arrived, Shia Muslims and devotees of the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT) across Pakistan, together with Iranian nationals residing in the country, celebrated this great Eid as "Eidullah al-Akbar" — the anniversary of the proclamation of the guardianship and succession of Imam Ali (PBUH) by the Holy Prophet (PBUH) — with immense fervor and splendor.
Iranian expatriates in Pakistan honored this great Eid of Wilayah by holding a grand ceremony in Islamabad, reaffirming their devotion and allegiance to Imam Ali (PBUH) and the noble tradition of Wilayah.
Political and cultural missions of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Quetta, and Peshawar also hosted special Eid al-Ghadir programs, with groups of Iranian expatriates and Pakistani Shia Muslims attending these events in an atmosphere replete with spiritual fervor.
The main ceremony, held at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Islamabad, was attended by Reza Amiri-Moghaddam, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, along with officials from Iranian institutions, directors of the Imam Hussein (PBUH) Educational Center, embassy staff, and their families, who gathered to honor the Eid of Wilayah.
Addressing the gathering, Hojatoleslam Mohammad Amin Shahidi, head of the Ummat-e-Wahida Pakistan, elucidated the historical, doctrinal, and cultural dimensions of the Ghadir Khumm event. He stressed the significance of the Wilayah and Imamate of Imam Ali (PBUH), describing this momentous occasion as a turning point in Islamic history and a guarantor of the continued guidance of the Islamic Ummah.
Panegyrists further enriched the ceremony by performing religious poems and hymns in praise of the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT), infusing the gathering with a deeply spiritual and uplifting atmosphere and filling the celebration with the remembrance of Imam Ali (PBUH).
This year's Eid al-Ghadir observances in Pakistan once again witnessed broad participation from various segments of society, showcasing profound love and devotion to the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT), religious cohesion, and the commemoration of one of the most significant and consequential occasions in Islamic history.
