Hawzah News Agency- Speaking on the Al-Kawthar television program "Child Martyrs of Minab, the Voice of the Ummah's Oppression," Mamousta Emami offered an analysis of the crime committed against the Shajareh Tayyiba School in Minab.
The Sunni cleric pointed to the place of child martyrs in the historical memory of the Islamic Ummah. "Child martyrs are the story of the awakening and the story of the Ummah's movement; they will remain in the memory of Islamic history and the Islamic Ummah," he said. "Contemporary history is filled with crimes against humanity committed by the Western world and its proxy powers, namely the Zionist regime. The most prominent examples are the First and Second World Wars, particularly the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, in which over a hundred thousand innocent people were killed each time."
Emami drew parallels with NATO's crime in Yugoslavia. "On 20 May 1999, NATO forces — led by the United States — bombed the Dr. Dragomir Mizović maternity hospital in Belgrade. The attack claimed dozens of victims, including pregnant women and newly born infants. Such crimes have been repeated again and again: today in Gaza and Iran, yesterday in Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Yemen, Syria and Iraq. And the same Western imperialist criminals have always been behind them — those who call themselves democrats."
He praised the role of the Islamic Republic of Iran, stating: "Since its founding, with its strong and wise leadership and its courageous and dedicated people, the Islamic Republic of Iran has stood as a fortified stronghold against enemy conspiracies targeting the Islamic Ummah and as a supporter of the oppressed. For this reason, it has been subjected to the persecution and punishment of arrogant tyrants and has sustained heavy losses. Despite all the difficulties Iran has faced on its path of dignity and independence, it has stayed the course. The events in Iran and Gaza are a sign of the collapse of Western civilization and a mark of shame for those who deceitfully claim to champion human rights."
Turning to the Minab school atrocity, Emami said: "As the Islamic Republic of Iran came under attack by America and the Zionist regime, the Shajareh Tayyiba School in Minab was among the areas targeted at the very outset of the war. The attack led to the martyrdom of a large number of students and their teachers. This is a crime that is unforgivable by any human and moral standard. While the loss of all our martyrs has been deeply painful for us, the martyrdom and ascent of 168 students at the Minab school, together with their teachers, has sent a wave of grief, anguish and rage against the aggressors across the world."
He pointed to the ideological roots of such crimes. "Research shows that shedding the blood of the innocent, particularly children, is deeply embedded in Zionist ideology. One need only refer to the book 'Blood on the Unleavened Bread of Zion' by the martyred author Najeeb Al-Kilani for further insight. Given the space, surveillance and aerial capabilities the aggressors possess, the claim that targeting an elementary school full of students in the early hours of the attack was a mistake is in no way acceptable."
The Mahabad Friday Prayer Leader declared that the angels' cry from the Minab school has delivered the message of Iran's honor and bravery to the world. "A government that presents itself as a defender of human rights fired two missiles and killed over a hundred innocent students and teachers, plunging the Iranian people into mourning. This incident is a symbol of the clash between two opposing fronts: on one side stands the front of evil, insolence, crime and corruption, and on the other, the front of purity, humanity, mercy, civilization and culture."
Drawing further parallels, he said: "The Minab school incident resembles other crimes and is an extension of the trail of violence that occurred on Epstein Island. The failure to respond appropriately at that time exposes the double standards of the international system. The message of the Islamic Republic of Iran's dignity and strength has reached the world through the blood of the innocent children of the Minab school. Today, the effort to honor the blood of these martyrs is not confined to the Iranian people alone; Islamic countries and especially free nations of the world stand in solidarity with Iran and share in this tragedy."
Mamousta Emami concluded by pointing to Iran's bright future in light of the martyrs' blood. "In this unequal war, witnessed by friend and foe alike, true victory belongs to the Islamic Republic of Iran, regardless of the false news the enemies spread through their media. The future belongs to the students who will build their society and homeland on the foundations of Islamic values, culture, knowledge and awareness."
"We hold absolute certainty and firm faith that through the blessing of the blood of the martyrs of the Shajareh Tayyiba School in Minab and all the other oppressed martyrs — especially the martyr and leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei — a bright, powerful and glorious future awaits the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Iranian people are the standard-bearers of the honor of resistance and dignity in the world."
