Iran's missile might rooted in late Leader's guidance: Top cleric

A senior Iranian cleric says the country's advanced missile capabilities are the direct result of strategic guidance provided by the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution, describing him as a unique figure in the history of Iran and Islam.

Hawzah News Agency- Hojatoleslam Gholamali Safaei-Bushehri, the representative of Iran’s Leader in Bushehr province, made the remarks during a meeting with provincial inspection officials. He said the late Leader's direction played a decisive role in Iran's defense and scientific breakthroughs.

"Iran's military and missile prowess is the product of the late Leader's strategic guidance and the tireless efforts of domestic scientists," Safaei-Bushehri stated. He noted that while Western nations have over a century of scientific background in the field, Iranian missiles have reached a level where they can powerfully defend the country despite the short history of indigenous knowledge in this sector.

Recounting a memory from Martyr Hassan Tehrani-Moghaddam, the cleric revealed that when Iranian missile specialists once hit a scientific dead end, the late Leader urged them to push forward and tap into the nation's scientific capacities—support that paved the way for overcoming the obstacles.

Hojatoleslam Safaei-Bushehri also shed light on the late Leader's personal character, pointing to his powerful memory, simple lifestyle, and meticulous respect for the rights of the people. "Many dimensions of his personality remained unknown during his lifetime; only later did the magnitude of these qualities become more apparent," he said.

He added that the late Leader consistently upheld a modest way of living, guarded public funds, and insisted on remaining at the level of ordinary people—even using public facilities during his travels.

The Friday prayers leader of Bushehr concluded by stressing that the Iranian nation possesses a great historical asset whose worth must be recognized now more than ever.
