During the meeting, Hojatoleslam Fayyaz Baqir of Mumbai presented the annual report of the Shia Ulema Assembly of India. Baqir further elaborated on the Assembly’s future plans and strategic priorities aimed at enhancing social engagement, educational outreach, and scholarly cooperation. In the concluding segment of the meeting, Hojatoleslam Ghulam Rasool Noori, a well-known Indian missionary, delivered a comprehensive assessment of the current social climate. He outlined the serious responsibilities borne by scholars and missionaries in promoting awareness, moral values, and social harmony. Noori stressed the importance of national unity and peaceful religious coexistence, calling on the Shia community to play a collective and constructive role in strengthening social cohesion.
He further emphasized the necessity of meaningful engagement with followers of other Islamic schools of thought and different religions, warning against the dangers of sectarianism, extremism, and social fragmentation. According to Noori, dialogue, mutual respect, and cooperation are essential tools in confronting divisions and ensuring stability within society.
