Hawzah News Agency- Shaykh al-Saduq narrated from his father, from Sa’ed ibn Abdullah, from Yaqoob ibn Yazid, from Muhammad ibn Abi Umayr, from Ali ibn Abi Hamzih, from Abi Basir that Imam Sadiq (pbuh) said:
Whoever practices divination (fortune-telling), or seeks it from another, has disassociated himself from the religion of Muḥammad(pbuh).
- A person asked asked: What about al-qiyafah (physiognomy or tracking by marks)?
The Imam replied: I do not like you to go to them. They rarely say anything without being somewhat right. Qiyafah is a remnant of prophetic insight that has passed into ordinary people.”
