Hawzah News Agency- His remarks came during a gathering of Islamic scholars and intellectuals at the Islamic and Technological University of Gaziantep, Turkey.
Speaking at an evening banquet hosted by the university, Hojatoleslam Vaezi addressed the challenges hindering the realization of a cohesive Islamic nation. He pointed out that bias and excessive focus on minor religious differences remain major obstacles to unity.
“The Islamic world shares extensive intellectual, cultural, and spiritual commonalities,” he said, “and these shared values can serve as the foundation for genuine unity and closer cooperation among nations and thinkers.”
The Qom Seminary professor concluded by emphasizing that strengthening solidarity and consensus among scholars and elites is essential to overcoming existing challenges and realizing the vision of a modern Islamic civilization.
