Hawzah News Agency- Speaking at a meeting with international guests of the Mirza Naeini Congress at the World Assembly of Ahlul Bayt (AS) in Qom, Hojatoleslam Ramezani said the Assembly serves as a global network of Shia scholars and intellectuals who exchange ideas and address issues concerning Shia communities across the Islamic world.
He praised the International Congress of Mirza Naeini as a wise initiative, noting that the participation of scholars from various countries underscores the unity and vitality of Islamic thought. “Each of you plays an important role in your regions and contributes to the strength and awareness of the Islamic world,” he told the attendees.
Highlighting Mirza Naeini’s seminal work Tanbiyyah al-Ummah wa Tanziyyah al-Millah, Ramezani stated that the late scholar’s ideas embody the true political philosophy of Islam — a framework grounded in justice, responsibility, and divine principles.
He further stressed the need for a comprehensive understanding of Islamic jurisprudence, explaining that the teachings of Islam and the Ahlul Bayt (AS) provide answers to the challenges of the modern world. “Today’s global system seeks to impose a purely humanistic order, but Islamic jurisprudence offers a divine alternative that governs all dimensions of life,” he said.
Referring to the role of major seminaries, Professor Ramezani emphasized that the Qom and Najaf seminaries complement one another. “Some have tried to divide them — labeling Najaf as traditional and Qom as political — but in truth, both are essential pillars of Islamic scholarship,” he said.
He concluded that jurisprudence today extends far beyond individual rulings, encompassing social, political, cultural, and economic domains. “The jurisprudence of the Ahlul Bayt (AS) represents the practical philosophy of governance,” Ramezani said. “It provides comprehensive guidance for humanity’s modern life and remains more relevant than ever.”
