Leader’s Envoy in Bangladesh: Islamic Scholars Must Promote Ahl al-Bayt’s Teachings and Muslim Unity

The Representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Bangladesh, Hojatoleslam Seyyed Mahdi Alizadeh Mousavi, has underlined the importance of promoting the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and consolidating unity among Muslims as essential responsibilities of today’s scholars.

Hawzah News Agency- In a meeting with a group of Shiite scholars in Bangladesh, Hojatoleslam Alizadeh Mousavi emphasized that scholars play a pivotal role in guiding society toward Islamic ethics, justice, and solidarity. He described promoting the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and strengthening Islamic unity as two key priorities in the current era.

During the meeting, held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, the participants discussed ways to enhance educational and missionary activities, promote Islamic values, and foster cooperation among different Muslim communities.

The Shiite scholars present at the gathering also shared their experiences in religious education, social services, and community engagement. Praising their efforts, Hojatoleslam Alizadeh Mousavi called for expanding religious and cultural activities to better reflect the authentic teachings of Islam and to counter divisive narratives.

He further noted that scholars must serve as moral and social guides for the Muslim Ummah, adding that their leadership can strengthen justice, ethics, and humanitarian values in society. “Religious scholars should not only convey Islamic knowledge but also engage in addressing social issues, supporting the needy, and nurturing a new generation with strong moral and spiritual foundations,” he said.

The meeting also highlighted the importance of social and humanitarian initiatives led by religious figures, underscoring that true Islamic education goes hand in hand with service to the people and the promotion of justice and ethical conduct.

Observers described the event as a significant step toward reinforcing the role of scholars in Bangladeshi society and institutionalizing Islamic leadership aimed at unity, service, and moral reform within the Muslim community.
