Qom Seminary Scholar: Hazrat Masoumeh, A Timeless Model for All Humanity

A professor at the Qom Seminary has described Hazrat Fatima Masoumeh (PBUH) as a shining example of piety, knowledge, and spiritual leadership whose influence transcends time and continues to inspire believers worldwide.

In an interview with Hawzah News Agency, Hojatoleslam Amir Jahanifard said Islam introduced the world to true models of dignity and empowerment, particularly through the lives of figures such as Hazrat Masoumeh (PBUH). Despite the repressive political climate of the Abbasid era, he noted, the noble daughter of Imam Musa Kazim (AS) attained great scholarly and spiritual heights through her devotion, faith, and connection with her brother, Imam Reza (PBUH).

Jahanifard highlighted historical accounts demonstrating her profound knowledge, including an event in which she accurately answered complex theological questions in the absence of her father — answers later confirmed by the Imam himself.

He emphasized that Hazrat Masoumeh’s (PBUH) legacy continues to guide both women and men across generations. Numerous narrations, he added, regard pilgrimage to her shrine in Qom as a means of attaining Paradise for those who recognize her lofty status.

The scholar described the holy shrine in Qom as a center of spiritual and intellectual guidance for scholars and believers alike, calling Hazrat Masoumeh (PBUH) “a global role model” and a symbol of divine sovereignty.

Jahanifard further noted that Qom’s sanctity, foretold in prophetic traditions, reflects its central role in preserving pure Islam and preparing the ground for the rule of the awaited Savior. He stressed that Hazrat Masoumeh’s (PBUH) influence extended beyond her lifetime—her shrine became a source of religious revival and even played a vital role in shaping the Islamic Revolution.

“Her light continues to inspire the path of faith, resistance, and truth,” he concluded, “and by God’s grace, this sacred legacy will endure until the emergence of the Savior of humanity.”
